This is an open list for all who are involved in or curious about Atom-Probe Tomography. Topics for discussion include (but are not limited to):

  • User problems and suggested fixes
  • Sample preparation techniques
    • Electropolishing recipes
    • Focused Ion Beam methods
  • Instrumentation and run parameters
  • Data reconstruction
  • Vendor/author announcements of atom probe related tools and software (commercial and free)
  • Reviews/announcements of atom probe books, articles and software
  • Comparisons of atom probe software and analysis methods
  • Discussion of new code, functions, algorithms, etc.
  • Data formats
  • Reported bugs/glitches/kludges/"features" of various software and their possible work-arounds or solutions
  • Discussion/comparison of complementary techniques (including TEM, other tomographic/mass spec methods)
  • Job openings in atom-probe tomography
  • Any other topics users consider relevant (suggestions welcome)

Subscribing to AtomProbe

Subscribe to AtomProbe by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator.

You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.

If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options.
